We want to inform you that the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has transitioned away from paper mail
toward secure online communications. Effective June 16, 2025, most CRA correspondence can only be
accessed by via My Business Account.
This means that important correspondence will no longer be sent via traditional mail, including notices
of assessment, statements, and reminders.
Unfortunately, the decision by the CRA is out of our control. To allow our firm to continue to properly
service you, and to ensure you don’t miss any critical information, we highly encourage you to:
Paper mail will only be sent in limited cases, such as cheques if your business is not registered for direct
deposit.
Please note that due to the volume of client accounts we manage, we are not able to monitor individual
CRA accounts on your behalf. We kindly ask that you take a moment to review your own account
regularly or reach out if you need help navigating it.
To make this transition easier, we’ve posted step-by-step instructions for registering both CRA My
Account and CRA My Business Account on our website: add a link to our steps on our website (not just
to the website itself) If you have any questions or need help with the process, we’re happy to assist.

Effective immediately, the offices of CHL will be closed to the public in order to maintain the policies put in place by the provincial government. Our staff will continue to work but at this time, we are placing locked bins outside of our main office doors to accept documents from those who need to drop them off. If clients are able to send documents electronically, we urge them to do so by contacting the office (at 902-742-7726) and receiving a secure upload link. For those that do not have access to electronic files, please contact the office for alternative arrangements.
Thank you for your cooperation as we continue to help protect our staff and community.
