NEW GRADUATES
Our firm holds approval from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Nova Scotia to train CPA students. Usually, our firm looks for one co-op student each spring for a short term and one for the summer months. We usually hire one CPA student every two years and support them through their education with flexible work hours and time off for exams. Currently the majority of our CPA students are hired directly from the two year NSCC accounting program. Once here, they must continue their university through correspondence courses while working. When they have achieved their university degree and taken all of the pre-requisite courses, they are eligible to apply to the CPA training course. This course is one year in length and can be taken on-line with occasional travel necessary for written exams in Halifax. For more information in obtaining a CPA designation, please go to the following CPA Nova Scotia website and click on the “Becoming A CPA” link: http://www.cpans.ca/web/cpans/
